         Shiv Murti

The 'Mangal Mahadev shiva statue' popularly known as Shiv Murti is presently located at NH-8, near Rangpuri. It was inaugurated by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri Karan Singh on 10th March 1994.

Spread over an area of 5 acres of land, it was constructed by Shri B.K. Birla.  The 62 1/2 feet tall statue of shiva is made of iron, cement and concrete and is raised on a platform 20 feet from the ground. Nearly 3000 visitors come here daily including VVIPs and foreign dignitaries. Main functions are held here during the festival of Maha Shiv Ratri and during the kavad days in the month of shravan.

'Shiva Pravachan' is celebrated every year before 'Ram Navami'.
